In other words, anybody who knows how to edit XML can change anything they want on their end and cheat in MP games. Wait, what? The same wonder works differently in the same game for different players depending on whether they are playing from a PC or a Mac?įinally, a friend showed it to me: we staged a test MP game, he edited one XML file on his computer and made his Explorers move 4 tiles per turn instead of 2, while my Explorers were still moving 2 tiles in the very same game, without any indication that he was using a mod or anything of the sort. Then the latest patch notes mentioned that some bugged wonders were fixed for PC but not for Mac at the moment. I've been noticing strange things in MP games against certain players, which led me to suspect they were somehow cheating. ![]()
